The mandate

Havenz is hiring its first Chief Financial Officer — the executive who gives a fast-scaling development platform the financial architecture institutions expect. The CFO owns capital strategy, project finance, reporting and financial operations across Havenz, AHI Management and HavenzTech, anchored by the AHI flagship campus in Red Deer County with its independently appraised $382.8M position.

What you'll own

  • Capital strategy and structuring across project-specific GP/LP platforms, JVs and credit facilities
  • Project finance for MW-class infrastructure — modelling, lender and investor processes, diligence rooms
  • Institutional-grade reporting: consolidated statements, project controls alignment and audit readiness
  • Treasury, cash management and the finance operations behind multiple operating entities
  • Board, partner and counterparty engagement — from term sheets through definitive documents
  • Building the finance team as the platform scales into new projects and markets

What you bring

  • CPA, CFA or equivalent, with senior finance leadership in real estate, energy, infrastructure or data-centre development
  • Hands-on project-finance track record — capital raised, facilities closed, structures papered
  • Fluency with lenders, institutional investors and appraisal-driven positions
  • Comfort in a founder-led, fast-moving platform where the finance function is yours to build
  • Alberta market knowledge an asset; Calgary-based or willing to relocate

Why this role

Most CFO roles maintain a machine someone else built. This one builds the machine — for a platform with a campus taking power, a flagship community customer in RISE, a technology company and a pipeline of master-planned projects behind it. Career security is a Havenz pillar; the executive team lives it first.
